Blog Entry Suggestions
Your blog entries should reflect a deep understanding of your growth and progress as a dancer, but also demonstrate your interest in dance history or the current dance world. Entries must be at least five sentences. You may be as creative as you would like. I'm not looking for anything specific, but here are some suggestions if you need some help getting started:
- Post a link to an interview with a choreographer related to the unit we are studying (for example, an interview with Robert Battle during the Contemporary Choreographers unit or an interview with Bob Fossee during the Jazz unit). Respond to the interview with your reflection.
- Write a reflection about the Salsa residency/performance with Ms. Rebecca (compare and contrast with last year-8th grade only).
- Post a video of a dance performance clip that interests you. Respond to the interview with your reflection.
- Write a review of a dance book you've read. For example, Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina by Misty Copeland.
- Post a dance photo or video of yourself and/or your friends (with their permission of course) and write a reflection about the choreography or experience.
Have fun with this blog. It's your creation and should interest you more than anyone else.
